I've been itching to try out the EOS movie record software since I first saw it mentioned on here a couple of weeks ago, so thought I'd have a go whilst waiting for my main deep sky target to appear. Although the resolution works out about the same as if I just took direct images through the scope, somehow, using the movie record of the live preview seems to give more detail.
