Crayford Focuser Help

Hi,

I'm in the process of ordering an Explorer 150p, however I have noticed something which I hope someone can help with.

On FLO they say it comes with a Dual Fit 1.25/2 inch Crayford Focusor. On other sites it does not mention this at all.

Is the Crayford anything special, or just an upgrade to the orignal 150p one?

Hi David.

The Crayford is a much better focuser than the rack and pinion type.

Much much better control when focusing.

If you have the choice get the Crayford option.

According to people who have this scope it's rack & pinion, give FLO a call and ask is the best way. I seem to remember something somewhere saying the newer scopes have a crayford but can't be sure.

All checked out. Some do come with the Crayford, others come with the Rack and Pinion.

So I went to FLO and got the Crayford.
