A quick NexStar 8SE test on Mars

I borrowed NexStar to check how alt/az would works for planetary imaging and get some data for my planetary book... tonight I had around 30 mins of clear sky between two walls of clouds (they say it will be snowgeddon tomorrow :icon_scratch:) so a very basic test. C8 + PGR Chameleon at f/10. 3 images - red channel, RGG and UV (i mistaken filters so no blue...)

What I noticed is that the back of the scope goes down "a lot" and I had to move Mars up quite often. Seems like the clutch is to loose, but also it's JMI motofocus + filter wheel out there (but it should balance when screwed by the end of the dovetail like it does on EQ mount)... or maybe doing alignment on Mars only isn't a good thing? :)
