Sky safari using android phone and meade lx90

Hi all,

I have managed to get sky safari to work with lx90 meade and android phone using bluetooth adaptor.

This is the adaptor.

You need to change the baud rate to 9600 bps, using hyperterminal which is built into windows(You plug the bluetooth unit into computer using RS232 to USB cable). All other setting were left the same. (Slave, G & DCE (F).

Also you need a mini rs232 gender changer male to male.

And also needed a null modem adaptor to swap 2 & 3 pinouts (wires)over, this is for mobile devices. It was £2 with free delivery Friday but seems to have gone up in price.

I have managed to make up my own cable whilst waiting for null modem to arrive, with great success.

I have powered it up with USB cable provided but have ordered one of these:
