Hello from another noob as well, and I have learned loads in the beginers help and advice forum.

I bought the Philips stargazing 2012 for about £5 off amazon, and that should keep me going for all year for something to see.

I found the moon a bit bright, so I used a camera ND filter on a binocular lens, which makes a difference in viewing pleasure, so a moon filter should definitely get a look in.
