NGC2174 Monkeyhead

Yesterday I put some time in imaging the monkeyhead nebula. Unfortunately the transparancy was very bad and a lot went wrong, so jn the end I only grabbed 6x900s H-alpha (4,5nm) and 2x900s OIII (3nm). But still the result is quite ok I think. Just need more data later on...

Good pic, it needs a little more data for noise reasons, but I like it. Usually I see this in LRGB. This is a nice way to present it.

This is a lovely representation of this object and the two filter approach has worked well resulting in good tight stars - my own experiences with the H9 have never resulted in such small stars although the very narrow filtering may be helping here - mine are all 12nm. The image has a little noise but it's remarkably clean for so few subs - really nice!
