I'm trying to find the old AN or S&T article on the homemade red dot finder to make one myself. Anyone remember which issue? Not to complex but i'd rather have a read first. Small loupe lens from magnifier, flat glass at 45deg to project LED onto light path and some sort o tube I recall.

As a side note I eamailed Astronomy now about digital achives and they are going to digitise post 2001. Anything before would have tyo be done laboriously by hand so no plans for that soon!
