New scope query

Just had my new scope delivered! But when I checked the collimation with my laser its out. Trouble is the laser js a bit sloppy in the holder so by moving it around I can make it point anywhere! If I lock it down it shows the laser off centre on the aluminium screen if I unscrew the locking screws and reposition thoe laser and lock again its moved. Using just a homemade cap everything looks ok. Should I leave well alone and star test it first? Oh its skywatcher skyline 150.

Just tried lying the scope down flat on my bed with the eyepiece holder pointing up at the ceiling. Put the laser in but not tightened it looks almost spot on. Just slightly out on the the screen, so for now I gonna leave well alone. But it doesnt say much for lasers does it!

I suggest you do a star test when you get some clear skies - that will confirm if you are collimated or not:)
