130,150 Explorer or 150 Dob

Hi everyone, great site and really helpful advice.

Im just about to buy a new telescope after a 10 year break, and ive got it down to these skywatchers. My budget is around £250 but i just cant decide, they all have limitations and benefits.

Im looking to see the planets in detail and also try some photography.

What would you choose?

I would guess not the Dob if your thinking about photography - but if not for £20 more you could get the 200p whiich is a an 8 Inch Relector on a Dobsonan mount and seems to get pretty good reviews

I'd do this.

Buy it, enjoy it and if Astrophotography becomes something you really want to do then a set of tuberings and an HEQ5 and you've got a cracking astrophotography set up.
