Auto or dual spped?

Hi All,

Havent posted for a while but have been lurking in the background reading up,

Anyway, My 150p explorer has the old rack and pinion focuser on and was about to replace it with a dual speed crayford type but have now seen this Autofocuser

The autofocuser is considerably less than the crayford but if comparing the two which is the better option ?

I don't know about the crayford, but i've heard good things about the autofocuser. Keeps things nice and steady when focusing allowing you to really get it spot on. The only complaint that i've heard about them, is that they're rather slow, but that's only an issue when switching to and from drastically different EPs.

The 'autofocuser' best thing since sliced bread.

You may have issues if you want to replace the cable with a longer one as the plugs look like a standard phone plugs but they are slightly smaller.Having said that they are available.
