2" VB or not 2" VB...

Folks,

Was out trying to defeat the LP last night with the 6SE and the only wide angle I have is the 25mm e-lux bundled with the 6. Looked OK, comfortable enough to use (I wear glasses), bit nicer and weightier than the 25mm that was bundled with the Mak!

The visible part of the Orion nebula easily fit into the 25mm, with all the LP around here, but one day I do want to get out into darkness....

So on to the question... would getting hold of one of the 2" visual backs for the 6SE (the WO with 99% reflectivity looks good value) be largely pointless? I mean, would I visibly get any more FOV, with a suitable EP?

I'm guessing that this is limited by the baffle of the SCT, which I measured as 26mm. This is already narrower than 1.25" or have I got the wrong end of the stick?
