Fixing a bent/missaligned focuser?

Hi folks

So, it seems there is an issue with my focuser on my new Newt that is causing oval stars due to the accident it had where the OTA fell on a hard floor with the focuser at full extension, an extension tube and a heavy EP in it.

I am guessing that the focuser or some part of it has been bent or knocked out of alignment by the fall and the optical path is no longer straight to the camera sensor.

Has anyone else had issues with out-of-alignment focusers or sag in the focuser onwards side of the optical train in a Newt based imaging set-up?

Is there anything I can try to fix this before I look at sending the whole shabang back to the manufacturer for a possible strip down and maybe a replacement focuser?

Cheers all

Ben
