I know the weather is being a bit unkind right now, but we can change it; get a weather station. Keep records as a companion hobby. That way when one plays up the other one is on the go!

You know how it is; whenever you get new kit, the weather won't play fair, well if you got a new weather station and a new bit of astro kit, then away you go!

it can't possibly have it both ways can it?

A trick borrowed & adapted from gardeners; they use companion plating to keep pests at bay, and I am just proposing using the same principle!

Nah - you'd just get flat coulds at a couple of thousand feet. No wind, no rain, no sun, and no astronomy either! You'd have to take up gardening, too!
