Comet Levy.

Hi everyone

I've been reading about comets and would love to have a good look at one through my scope.

I am aware that Comet Levy is due to pass closest to Earth on jan 13th but i'm not sure what to expect. I have a celestron 130eq with only 10 and 20mm eyepieces.

It should be mag 7.1 aparently.

Unfortunately, Levy has turned out to be a damp squib and is now 19/20th magnitude. Check here: Comet Chasing

Comet Garradd is still looking good, in the morning sky in Hercules. Use binoculars or your lowest-power eyepiece.

You've just stopped me from spending a few cold nights in the garden looking for something that isn't there.

I'll check Garradd out as soon as i can.
