When posting, it helps if you state how you took the image, and with what camera. That way we can suggest ways of getting better results

malc-c, thanks, thats true. I was using my Celestron 114LCM with a Sony compact camera held to a 8mm eyepiece. I recorded about 20 seconds of movie and processed in Registax.

I'm reading lots about imaging and think that modding my Microsoft Lifecam and investing in a Barlow may be the next step.

Andy, the humble Phillips SPC880 (flashed) has become the web cam of choice for most of us. Buy Philips Pre flashed SPC880 CCD webcam bundle at Morgan Computers

Use this with the free software called sharpcap and you should get some stunning results

I bought two only a few months back for around £9.99 each.

I use one for my Telescope ( 'flashed' ) and one as a normal webcam ( also 'flashed' ).

Webcam is great, especialy in a darkish environment like my Coservatory.
