re video capture

hi all, i thought i saw a beginners guide to astro software somewhere on the forum but now i seem to have lost the link.

a couple of questions : i have Registax downloaded but what other software is recomended for image processing. also what in experience is the best package to actually capture the web cam images on ?

Sharpcap is a good free program to control your webcam. Deep Sky Stacker is good for stacking DSLR images and it is free too. Gimp also free will help with image processing i.e. tweaking and cropping you images.
