Where am I going wrong?

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, but it's the closest section of the fora that I could find that fitted my description.

Anyhow... I tried my hand at imaging earlier with an SPC900NC, first I tried an easy target like Jupiter. I managed to "find" it in K3CCDTools, however I couldn't get it focused at all. When I say I found it, I mean I had a massive white dot on the computer. Tried as I may I couldn't get it to focus at all, I went to the moon and I managed to get was... well a huge crater. So a result there.

Anyhow, where am I going wrong with Jupiter? I have a Skywatcher Skyliner 200P Dob, SPC900NC, an IR filter and a Polarizing filter. I doubt the filters had anything to do with it, but I listed them incase. Oh yeah I was using K3CCDTools as the capture software.

Can anyone point out where I was going wrong?
