Cheap/Second Hand stores?

Hi forum,

I have decided i'm going to buy Skywatcher Skyliner 200p (8") scope as it fits my criteria. Just wondering if anybody knows cheap, reliable stores in UK. Also i'm always open to second hand, does anyone know any good second hand astronomy sites or any buy/sell type of places.

Forget 2nd hand shops unless you really know what to look for. Saturn10 gave good advice. Also try asking at your local astro soc for anyone selling on kit.

Generally decent kit stays within the astro community. Stuff on sale outside can be very dodgy. Saw a scope on flea bay the other day that was absolutely covered in dust!
