Direct SLR magnification question

Recommended Posts

I was wondering with some of the skywatcher telescopes they have the direct SLR attachment. But without the eyepiece what magnification would it be. Would it be the sensor size? Please could you help me on an answer.

Thanks!

I am just getting to grips with it myself, I have found that putting the camera attachment into a Barlow is the only way I can get an image.

Yea looking to buy a new scope, just trying to get some funding for it first.

Try CCDCalc - it gives you the fov for a combination of scope, barlow, and camera. It's a free download and gives a good idea of what to expect :)

Thank you, just what Im looking for!
