Imaging software

Hello all,

As ive said in my intro im gathering some stuff for DS imaging,

My route will roughly be HEQ5, a guided 80mm APO, DSLR etc

Im really stuck choosing suitable software. I hope to manually take the pics to start with but obviously I will need a processing package (es) within budget (in my head I have 2k for the whole setup)

Any ideas to compliment this type of gear gratefully received.

I use APT to control the DSLR, PHD for guiding, DSS for calibration and stacking and Photoshop CS3 for processing. Pixinsight has some very useful tools for image processing and I am considering it.

The freeware above is all good. I use AstroArt 5 which is great value but the free stuff covers most of it. I just like it and know it. FLO can supply it now. Pixinsight is powerful but very obscure, to me at least, and I couldn't manage without Photoshop which, for CS3, comes up at less absurd prices than new from Adobe.

Thanks for that guys, 2 answer seem to have solved a months headache.

Free stuff is always welcome and photoshop isnt as expensive as I thought
