Hi from Glasgow, plus a quick question

Hey guys,just discovered this great forum as i was looking for guidance. i have a sony A200 SLR, and i was wondering if anyone could tell me how i would mount it to a newtonian telescope, i did read about t-rings and adaptors but im a bit reluctant to buy these in case it isnt what i need. Any help would be gratefully recieved. Thanks, Colin.

You should be fine with the standard t-ring adapter and mount. Just make sure you get the right size for your scope (1.25" or 2"). You can buy them from FLO.

Cheers paul mate, instant reply! thanks for the welcome, this site is great, ive just kind of fallen into this. My girlfriend got me a telescope as a well intentioned present, which ive since discovered on this site is a bit of a nasty one. Its a newtonian 700x76 she got on sale somewhere, so i thought id give it a go and see if i could take any decent pics using it. What do you reckon? Am i on a hiding to nothing?

I'm not familiar with your scope, so i cant comment. What make is it?.

Basically you have a good camera, a scope and the bravery/insanity to try astro imaging.............

So by all means buy an adapter and give imaging a go. You WILL get some result.
