DIY Piggyback rail and ring mount.

Ladies and gents,

there is yet another DIY on the A.S.I.G.N. Observatory website. It's a rail and ring mount for a piggyback telescope, on top of your main scope.

In this case I have selected an APO ED 80, with a 90mm diameter OTA, but the dimensions can be changed to suit any size scope.

The job is about 3/4 of the way through and I should have it finished by the end of the week.

Cheers,

Baz.

Sorry ladies and gents,

There has been a slight delay to finish the scope mount rings as the machine is booked out for a bit. I will post the finished results as soon as it is done so you can all have a look and make one yourselves. The one I am making on the machine is slightly more advanced, and not classically DIY, but I am currently sourcing some more common raw materials so I can do the same thing for the common man with the common tools. Like me. :)

Baz.
