I was hoping with an f6.3 SCT focal reducer on an Equinox 66 I'd get this in one frame. A tad optimistic. :D

Anyway the reducer appears to be working well with the scope sucking in light at f/4.

First up a shot of the core - Approx 8hrs - 10min subs - H-alpha

And then something a little more adventurous for me. The tip of the nebula looked interesting and I wanted to get some colour in there so I thought about doing a duo-tone image.

I shot 2 hrs of red along with 6hrs of H-alpha. I wanted to keep the Ha layer fairly white so I used the red as an under-print layer with the Ha 'screened' on to the top.

Some blue might be good too but I'll wait until the moon has passed for that.
