9v from 12v?

Is it possible to run a 9v mount from a 12v Maplins 3-in-1 power pack at all? I'm no expert, but I know that running 12v into it will probably not be a good idea, but is there some way of 'stopping down' the 12v to 9v before it get to the mount?
