Problems with M27 background

Recommended Posts

Hi

Here's the result of an imaging session last night with my modded 1000D. I used a CLS filter clip and had CWB enabled. Then used 'At capture colour CWB' option when pocessing in imagesplus.

It looks like I've done something wrong with the background. It looks too dark. I did a gaussian blur subtraction on a duplicate layer to get rid of some amp glow but im not convinced this is the problem. Reason being, I looked at an original RAW after conversion and the histogram looks wrong.. there is a gap on the left hand side?? (See attached screenshot). Is this normal? If not, can it be fixed?

I can upload the RAW, FITS or TIF to my webspace to look at if needed

Hope someboady can help

Cheers
