Mintron 72S85HP-EX - pics

Hi all,

Here are a few of the most recognisable pics with the Mintron.

All at prime focus with a x2 Barlow.

My previous attempts had no detail at all, other than two dark bands.

Then I remembered I had recently had a problem removing the Hyperstar and so ended up with the secondary not

where it should have been (rotated).

Through the eyepiece (8mm, no barlow) I thought it looked ok, but the camera really show things up.

So a quick re-collimation helped but I guess I still have some way to go yet.

All Captured with Handy AVI and best 95% of 600 frames per stack with Registax.

Looking good for a starting point.

Much better than my first attempts all I ended up with was a large white blob.

Are you using any filters on this.

Hi Graham,

Yes the filter is the Baader "Neo" UV/IR.
