Celestron 127 test

The other night with the Moon just over half phase I tried my newly obtained Celestron 127 MAK with an un-modified webcam. Here's the result

Pretty nice

How do you rate it against the 200p for planetary/lunar? I'm pushed for space and need to travel to my site, so the smaller mak is really attractive, but i don't wanna sacrifice too much in the way of observing power, since at a push, i could cram the 200p into the car.

To be honest the 200P provides a brighter image, obviously having 3" inches in aperture and being F5. But the 127 is an excellent performer, especially visually, giving excellent results when used with decent eyepieces

That said, here's a comparison of the moon with the same camera through the 200P

Woah, is that the same eyepiece too?

Edit: Derp, just realized I know nothing about imaging. I don't even know if you use eyepieces while imaging lol. Either way, supposing all things are the same except the scope, then the difference is quite amazing!

You replace the eyepiece with a webcam, thus recording the image at the prime focus of the optics
