Hi Guys

I have a C9.25 and am planning to buy an ED80 to mount side by side with it. I'm really getting into the imaging part of astronomy but don't want to give up on visual either, so heres what im thinking....

Option 1:

Buy the Hyperstar kit for my c9.25 and turn it into a permanent visual scope. The Hyperstar reduces the scope to F2.8 and with a guided 9.25" appature im thinking superlong exposures equals better photo's. The ED80 in parrell lets me continue to visually observer.

or

Option 2:

Leave the C.925 as it is (saves £800 on the hyperstar) and use the F6.3 ED80 as my imaging rig, again guided.

What do you think? in my head the figures make option one the better imaging rig.

Thoughts.....
