Which focuser for a 6" Newt?

Hi all, after stripping down my Tal, I have found the focuser has been hacked by a previous owner and is really not that great any more (yes, the grease had give so bad I could not tell before!).

So, question is, what to replace it with? I definitely want to move from the manual rack and pinon but should I go to dual speed Crayford or something motorised? Should I stick with 1.25" or move to 2" with an adaptor for now?

I definitely want to get into a bit of photography, probably with a long exposure modded spc900 or similar. O/D of the OTA tube is about 7".

I have something like £ 100 - £ 130 I can spend so what should I get?
