Help with heq5 mount

Recommended Posts

Hi all well as it was clear last night I decide get the Scope out and try and set it up I used astro baby's guide to do the polar alignment On the mount which I managed to get set up correct I think so a went on to 3 star alignment Method which I did and got alignment successful so off I went on the tour had a look at andromda which was in the centre of the eye piece when I was looking though it. But then thought I would look at Jupiter but the telescope was way off where it should of being but it was fine on the deep sky objects Any suggestions of how to solve this problem

Thanks carl

I am a bit puzzled why it is so far off. I use EQMOD with Stellarium and sometimes after a while ( 3 hours or so) I can find that I am off my targets so I just add alignment stars near the object I am interested in particularly if I have changed to a sector far away from where I was observing. Dont know if anyone else has a solution.
