IR filter REPLACEMENT on an SDC-435?

It has just struck me that a neat solution to the problems associated with removing the IR cut filter from an SDC-435 would be to REPLACE the manufacturer's IR cut filter with a piece of Baader UV/IR cut filter (as long as one could find a 7mm x 7mm square of Baader UV-IR cut filter).

Apart from removing the possibility of IR imaging, can anyone think of any reason why this couldn't/shouldn't be done?

I decided it was easier to just to remove the internal filter and "move" the filtering to the 1.25" EP adaptor or C-T adaptor as you then have an easy method of "custom" filtering the camera... UV/IR Cut, IR Pass, Deep Red etc...

That's probably what I'll do, but this doesn't help when shooting through a CS mount lens.

Stick the filter on the front of it? Tape or blutack..?

Baaders prices for unmounted filters are .. well....
