Two telescopes for overall observations..

if your limiting yourself to those two, i would go for the one with the fastest f ratio so that would be the 102.

the best general use telescope in my opinion is a reflector though, a nice f5 with a decent barlow and EPs, covers all bases for me :)

I have the skywatcher equivalent ota's.

Mak127 beats the 102 f5 on all counts barring field of view. max field of view of the mak approx 1.1deg with 1.25" ep or around 1.3deg with 2" ep before vignetting becomes noticable.

Depends what value you place on a wide fov.
