dmahon
Here's my second attempt at narrowband. I know I need to collect more data on each image, but I'm just keen to produce something - I can always add more data another night!HA/OIII/SII 600s x 8/3/
MikeWilson
Looking good so far! did you use a field flattener or reducer?
dmahon
Yes - I was fortunate enough to be the one who got a second-hand TRF-2008 right back when I started up. I got lucky, and got good advice from here (so far) and have managed to buy the right thing first time every time, most of it used. The only thing I have sold on is a Panoptic 35, which I sort of wish I'd kept now - then again I haven't looked through a single eyepiece for 6 months and perhaps I should sell them all as they are quite valuable ones. The only thing I will change is my HEQ5 for an NEQ6, but not until I have a fixed pier - I'm glad I have the lighter weight HEQ5 at the minute as I can carry it 50m across the garden with the scope/camera/weights etc. mounted. SlipperySquid
That's coming along nicely! It is a target that needs lots of data to bring out all the subtle nuances of neblosity and detail! Which is so frustrating with our skies Good luck! and I'll keep an eye out for your updates!Matt.
