Imaging Help Please

Hello All

First Time Imaging Help Please.

My equipment includes SW200 on a HEQ5 Pro and a SW ED80 and EQMOD interface linked to mount and pc.

I have various eyepieces and a Powermate 2.5x.

Could someone please point me in the right direction as the way to go and do some imaging? I am looking at the DMK21 or 31 camera. I would like to know does one tend to get better images using a mono camera then applying the 3 or 4 filter arrangements to get the colour or should I go or the colour version? I would also like some advice on getting a guiding system too. I have a budget of around £500 at moment, so looking for some ideas from you guys out there.

I know there are lots of info out there, but there too much jargon like PHD etc etc for me to get my head round.

I have had a bash at using a SPC 9600 webcam and have a few reasonable images of the moon, but then when trying to image the likes of Saturn last year it was a total flop, so to speak.
