First Meteor Captcher

Recommended Posts

It was clear last night and I couldn't be bothered to get all the kit out so I thought I'd have a session with my un-modded Canon 400D and normal 18mm & 300mm lenses to have a practice with Deep Sky Stacker.

After I downloaded the images and was looking through I spotted that I'd captured my first meteor trail! :)

The first image is the original wide field view (unstacked) and the second is a close-up of the trail.

As it was 3am when I finished downloading then I've got some processing to do with the other images but that was my highlight of last night.

Enjoy. :D

Edit: I forgot to add:

Taken with Canon 400D, 18-55mm zoom lens, ISO 1600, f5.6 and 26 second exposure.
