Ha Advice please

As it appears I have clear skies tonight, but... the moon is going to be out to play, im Planning on using my HA filter on my OSC.

Am I correct in thinking I need to at least double my sub length?

It will be at a different focus point than with my light pollution filter?

Will I still be ok focusing on a bright star?

Focusing on a bright star will be fine. For sub length this depends on the target although Ha is certainly more forgiving than O3 and S2 when it comes to sub lengths, however I would not go less than 10 mins and now regularly find myself doing 20/30min subs as they really help with pulling the faint stuff out.

SteveL is a bit of a genius with Ha from OSC cameras. I've never tried it. You will have a job to over expose anything, though!

Cant go wrong with NGC 7000, quite bright and 10 min subs should do well on that.
