We'll know for sure by about 2030 whether it has slipped into the gravitational keyhole or not. It would certainly prompt some swift action and be a boost for space technology if it does.. so who knows.. maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing?

It won't be the end of the world if/when it hits. Only a 1000 megatons or so.
