Dark mismatch issue

Recommended Posts

I am having issues when I image with my DSLR. I get noise streaking across my images which is indicative of mismatched darks. The problem is, I use dark library to match the darks with the subs. The darks have the same temperature, ISO, exposure, and were all taken the same night as the subs.

I am using DSS for stacking and am shooting with a Canon 7D. I have played with all of the settings I could think of in DSS that could cause this. The streaking is always there. Any ideas?? Thanks!!

What do the darks look like?

I haven't got a 7D (Yet) so dont know how clean the longer exposures would be...

I tend to use only lights , bias and flats and the hot/cold pixel removal "tools" in the cosmetic tab in DSS - these can sometimes give problems by removing the center pixels of stars so need to keep an eye on it...

I use Kappa Sigma stacking for the lights and average for the flats and bias...
