Time Zones

Hi, I have a Celestron 5 SE go to telescope. When I am setting it up the hand unit asks which zone I am in Zone 1 or Zone 2. I always say Zone 1 but is that correct for the UK.

I thought that we were in 0.

Check the manual think that they provide a map at the rear with the zones marked on it.

As a zone is 15 degrees wide it makes no sense for the scope to offer just 2. The US covers at least 4 time zones, from East coast to West coast. Not sure where Hawaii and Alaska come into it.

just a thought I have no knowledge on these but as it only offers 2 options could it mean 12 or 24 hour format?

Universal Time (UT or UTC) is equivalent to GMT (Timezone -00).
