Video camera?

Hi,

I would like to purchase a video camera for when i just haven't got time to image. I realise that Mallincam is probably considered the best but tbh this is way beyond my price range right now.

I have a 8" SCT (EQ mounted) and was wondering if there are any good video cameras on the market for £200 or below.

Also do they all have stacking capabilities?

Hi Torazz

£200 will get you a SBC 2000 suitable CS to 1.25 nose piece and a Astro Eng x0.6 focal reducer and you should still have money left for video leads, capture dongle and others.

The thread Psychobilly mentioned is a very good source if info and the Social group is where some of us video astronomers are hanging out.

Oh - yes the SBC 2000 (formely the SDC 435) and SBC 4000 both have frame accumulation modes upto x512 or about 10 seconds
