It's cheaper, and it's obvious why. It's got a focal length of over a metre, and looks like it's mounted on something that's considerably less sturdy than an elastic band!

It looks like thew usual junk that's badly built and guaranteed to put beginners off for life.

You made a fine choice with the 8 inch dob
