hello sons of star dust,

i have two old pocket cameras of the type Powershot A610 lieing around here, they both have different malfunctions, one has a defunct display, the other has another mistake. I wondered if i could use one of the CCD chips for astroimaging in general.

so far i have not done imaging only visual aastronomy but i guess with imaging i woudl see much more detail of the DSO structures.

if anybody has a link, or experience with building an astrocamera from a digicam chip, would be glad for information. I would have a little fan here that i could use for cooling against the noise.

MB :)

PS: quality of image is not so necessary, its my first time imaging, just feel like building something cool rite now !
