do you use a light pollution filter for visual use if so what one as i am looking to buy a 2" one to permanently leave in my diagonal

I'd love to get some feedback from LPF users. I have heard that they should be specific to the lightning used in the observing area.

If the feedback is positive I'd also be interested in one.

It'll help to know what 'scope you've got and what kind of LP conditions you have, so we can better advise you.

Some filters are "gentler" and better suited to smaller 'scopes/low levels of LP, others are "harsher" and work better in larger 'scopes/can deal with worse LP.

At the end of the day though, filters are a very personal choice. Just like EPs, what suits one person won't necessarily suit another, even under the same conditions.

i have a 150mm f12 mak and my sky's are pretty clear but a bit light polluted

Equipment is in my sig, but according to a LP map I saw on here a couple of weeks ago I'm in a terribly light polluted area.
