Cepheus - Between dark sky and light pollution.

I shot this up at the NLO on Friday night. So many huge setups and wires everywhere so thought I'd keep it simple while enjoying the evening and the other telescopes.

Taken with a 28mm lens, f/4.7 - 80 frames @ 75 seconds - ISO 1600. Camera at 45deg angle.

After checking the amount of drift later I reckon I could of upped the exposure time to 10 minutes and dropped the ISO quite a lot to cut down on the noise.

I think the image highlights just how much light pollution can ruin visibility.. and by comparison to a lot of sites, it appeared quite dark to the naked eye and seeing was very good.
