Polaris Reticule...help

Hi.

If I have my mount in the "home position" and all circles set to zero and I look through my polar scope where should the polaris indicator on the reticle ideally be positioned ? I think I might have moved mine whilst fiddling......help please

It could be anywhere - seriously, that is the case! Its position is not related to the RA axis per se, it only has to be adjusted so that as you rotate the RA axis, a fixed distant object centred on the reticule must remain there.

The polar alignment relies on an independent set of settings on the setting circles.
