Stellarium and Satellites

When the satellitehints is turned on, some satellites have paths traced out in either green or white and others don't.

What do the green and white paths mean and why don't they all have them?

Satellites in the new database has been color coded - purple for Iridium, grey for naked-eye-visible objects (white for the the ISS), green for scientific Earth observation missions, blue for the NOAA weather satellites, and brown for Amateur satellites.

Matthew Gates is the author of the Satellites plug-in.

I think you can change them by editing the configuration file and/or the satellites.json file.
