M101 ultra-widefield

Hi all

Ok, so last night was a bit of a mare... there was high cloud drifting through all the time that lost at least an hour out of my two plus hours of data collected on M101...

I tried to do it all right!!!

Anyway, the below is the result of just over an hour of data with half an hour of darks and 40 flats applied, 100 second subs, unguided using my modded 350D and my f2.8 200mm lens on the HEQ5-pro.

The oval stars at the edges show my polar alignment wasn't great and 100sec subs was pushing it but I needed them to get any detail in 101 given how feint it is.

Gonna revisit this damn galaxy later in the year with my Meade 127 once I have my guiding rig.
