Very much a quickie, this, because I was up most of the night with Dob and guests, but the seeing after a damp dawn was the best ever for me in solar viewing. Stunningly steady with lovely detail in the proms at the eyepiece.

Yes, solar seeing is often at its best when the sun is pretty low in the morning sky, before the heating starts to get the thermals roiling away ...
