Stacking H-a images in DSS

Assuming, like me, one can't afford any of the fancy stacking software options and are limited to DeepSkyStacker, how do you stack H-a images given that the H-a filter blocks out most of the stars so won't leave sufficient stars for DSS to stack on?

If DSS is any good it should only need two stars.

I have found that DSS won't stack unless it can find at least 8 stars. Is there a way of overriding this?
