Auriga Clusters

I went for a meal last night with a close family mate, she was 61 and as shes practically part of the family, we went out for a meal to celebrate.

Anyway we went to this little pub on the outskirts of Bridgnorth, the skies were a little darker than the skies I have at my place.

Anyway I was showing Jacqui the constellations and I swear I could see M36 and M38 as faint fuzzy patches in A-Vision.

I checked when I got home with the binos, and indeed the fuzzy patch I could see were the clusters. I presume there just about naked eye visibility?

I then had a good scan with the binos dodging the clouds. Picked up M35, M36, M37, M38 NGC1893 and NGC1907

It surprising really how much you can see with simple binos.

Sure is mate

I went to a darker site (1 mile away) last week to image the rising moon and

the sky was inky black with quite a few fuzzies in sight.

Shame it's not like that at home

You should build a house there!
